the street when completely cold (aweful noise too, after like 5 -10 miles of easy driving), after they have cooled down on the hwy trip back. When I got back, I must have eaten about 10-15% of my rotor, only on the trip back, since I didn't feel like taking them out! They don't wear much at all when at operating temp. They actually are very friendly and quiet when warm and hot. And they last. However they are your rotors nemesis when cold, and when there is water involved the destroyer of wheel finish. So if you run them, don't run them in the rain unless you have another set of shitty rims you don't mind messing up the finish on. If the day is fine and you aren't running water, you can run them, but I suggest you clean them soon afterwards, especially on your street wheels. They are low-medium torque spec competition pads. I've used them on autoxs outside of tracking them too, and they work great. But again, on my short drive home, they I got a free rotor re-surface and the aweful sound they make when cold. They are definately not a street pad, only competition use with good reason. Keep your stockers for the street, thats what I do. I may buy another mid line set of pads for rain events and days I don't feel like switching out, like the Axxis Ultimates that Coz sells. Forget the metal masters, not really good. bfastrblast- Are you the guy who has one all the PCA events and all the other road racing experience that Todd (capnzap) was telling me about? IF so, wow, impressive record, wanna go to an event sometime and give me some pointers ;) I always appreciate the commentary of extraordinary drivers.
Cheers, Salah
